Work Samples

It is difficult to choose which projects make it into a portfolio. Each project is the culmination of study, research, creativity, sweat equity, and yes, sometimes even blood and tears. Below you will find examples of some of the projects that were especially memorable for me.

Project Descriptions

Current Design Portfolio
It is sometimes interesting to see how far we've managed to grow in order to keep pushing ourselves to do better, more meaningful work today.

FUTURE|CAMPUS

The capstone project of my graduate career, FUTURE|CAMPUS envisions the redevelopment of currently-owned but under-developed prime real estate adjacent to multiple public transportation lines over the next 20 years. Key to development were two points: Employer Assisted Housing and LEED-ND development standards that valued mass transit.

Green Business Development: Palos Park, IL
One of the most hands-on team projects on which I've ever had the good fortune to work.

ENGAGE! UIC Campus Master Plan

Students in a graduate level independent research class combined forces to ask member of the campus community directly what kinds of changes they want to see. Here's what we came up with.

The Once and Future Queen, vol I, vol II, and vol III (writing samples)
A progressively developed series of papers analyzing, defining, and celebrating the Boystown area of Chicago, IL by creating a memorial park in the heart of this north side neighborhood.
